How do I download and save files to my device?

A lot of the content published on our website can be downloaded and viewed offline.


Articles which are available for download will generally have a link on the right hand side to a PDF version (see two example screenshots below). Click on the link and then download it to your device.


Many of the articles have supplementary material in a variety of media. Listed below are the file formats most commonly used on nature.com:
Document: PDF, Word, Power Point, Excel

Image: JPEG, GIF, BMP
Video: Quicktime: MOV, MP4; Flash Video: FLV; Windows: WMV
